Profile
Update your name, password, designation, and the details that help the AI find mentions of you.
Your profile is the one place in Novapulse that's always yours, no matter what role or permissions you have. Open it from the avatar menu in the top-right of any page.
Basics
The first section of your profile covers the things you'd expect:
- Name — first and last. Shown next to every comment, mention, and assignment.
- Email — the email you sign in with. Changing it requires email confirmation.
- Phone — optional. This is the number we send SMS notifications to.
- Password — change it any time. It must be at least 8 characters.

If you sign in with magic links and don't use a password, you can leave the password field as it is and ignore it.
Designation
Your designation is your job title as you'd want it shown to your teammates. Receptionist. Cardiologist. Dr. Patel, MD. Keep it short — it appears next to your name throughout the app.
This isn't just cosmetic. The AI uses designations when matching patient mentions: if a patient says "I need to speak to my cardiologist," the AI scans designations across the practice and surfaces every user whose designation contains cardiologist.
Help the AI find mentions of you
Add misspellings of your name so the AI catches them as mentions of you. This is one of the most useful fields on your profile.
Examples:
- Dr. Aishwarya Krishnan adds: Ash, Aishu, Krishnan, Krishna.
- Sarah Williams adds: Sara, Williams.
- Dr. Müller adds: Muller, Mueller.
Whatever a patient might say on a voicemail that should match you — put it in the list. Each entry is a single string; separate multiple entries with the UI's input field (you'll see them appear as removable chips).
You don't have to add your exact full name or your first name on its own — the AI tries those automatically. Only add the variants.

Deleting your account
If you're leaving the hospital, the right path is to ask your Hospital Admin to remove you from the hospital (see Users → Removing a user). You can't fully delete your own account from the profile page — that's a permission that lives with the hospital admin.
